Film Scouts on the Riviera 1999 is brought to you by:

What do you drink?... A slice of life at the 1999 Cannes Film Festival.

What do you drink with breakfast on the Playboy yacht? After watching the Playmates parade down the gangplank for a day of fun in the sun, the only remedy for shrunken self esteem is a strong cup of coffee.

What do you drink on the terrace of the Majestic as you watch the stars stroll past in their black tie finery? One of the best seats in town, a glass of champagne will cost you about $20. But in the hotel's opulent surroundings, nothing but the best will do.

What do you drink at a party thrown by Jamaicans celebrating the Jamarican Film Festival? The only answer would be rum! And rum drinkers abound at the Caribbean affair. Actress Dina Merrill and her husband, producer Ted Hartley, joined in with hostess Sheryl Lee Ralph of TV's Moesha as they hit the secret recipe rum punch. These Jamaicans really know how to throw a party, mon.

What do you drink when you join independent producer Jonathan Dana and HBO's Jim Byerly for dinner at Le Mediteranée? The night that I joined two of the industry's biggest wheel and dealers for dinner, everything was coming up rosé. Over pleasantries, we sipped icy cold Moet et Chandon Rosé. Once we got down to the serious business of eating, there was no better choice than Chateau St. Rosaline's Cru Classée Rosé.

What do you drink before attending the midnight premiere of Kevin Smith's "Dogma"? Skip the vino and grab a cup of cafe. After a day of racing around the film festival, only a jolt of caffeine can help keep you awake in a dark cinema. (Even if Ben Affleck is in attendance!).
